Maxi 72 North American Championship
June 14, 2016Newport, RI. The first edition of the Maxi 72 North American Championship came to an end yesterday, June 14. The overall result was in contention until the last gybe of the last race. Hap Fauth, who had designed and sponsored the regatta was the worthy winner of the event, close second was Dieter Schoen' MOMO and third was Alex Schaerer' Caol Ila R. The Awards Ceremony took place at a party sponsored by the International Maxi Association. The prizes were presented by IMA President Thomas Bscher with the kind help of the NYYC Commodore Rives Potts and Vice Commodore Phil Lotz.
