Giovanni Lombardi Stronati, owner of Swan 128 Be Cool and Wallyrocket Django X7, awarded in Venice, London and Rome

Rome, May 7, 2026

The Sailor of the Year FIV-Stars of Sailing  event, now in its 32nd edition and organized in Rome at Villa Miani by italian “Confindustria nautica” and “Federvela”, saw the  "Owner-Helmsman of the Year" trophy for 2025 going to italian Giovanni Lombardi Stronati, for his commitment to the development and enhancement of high-performance boats, which he raced at the highest levels. A member of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, Royal Thames Yacht Club and the Royal Ocean Racing Club, Mr. Stronati, who is also an IMA Board Officer, enjoyed an extraordinary season last year.

Just a few days ago, on May 5, Mr. Stronati was awarded also with the trophy for the "Yacht of the Year" by the London-based Royal Thames Yacht Club - for exceptional results in 2025 with his Wallyrocket "Django X7".

On May 4 in Venice,  the Swan 128 Be Cool, owned by Lombardi Stronati, had been awarded the Boat International World Superyacht Award in the sailing yachts 30m to 39.9m category.
