Following the approach of several keen owners, the IMA has been helping to develop the racing for privately-owned maxi multihulls in both Europe and the Caribbean.
For its second season in 2026, the IMA Mediterranean Maxi Multihull Challenge grew to six events with the addition of The Superyacht Cup Palma Richard Mille.
Like its Caribbean counterpart, the Mediterranean series aims to combine inshore and offshore events to provide a complete test for teams looking to take part. The most popular events remain September's Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup and Multihull Cup.
