Regate di Primavera-Portofino. Notice of Race is now available, and entries open

Regate di Primavera Portofino is back in 2022, after the 2021 successful inaugural edition. Gulf of Tigullio will see again maxi boats competing during four days of spectacular regattas. The event is organised by Yacht Club Italiano in collaboration with the municipality of Portofino, the International Maxi Association and Rolex as official timepiece.
 
The programme 
Regate di Primavera will start on Thursday, April 21 with the arrival of the yachts and registrations. The boats will be moored in Portofino Yacht Marina or in  Santa Margherita Ligure - and at anchor in the beautiful bays around it. First signal is scheduled for Friday, April 22  - and races will continue till Monday, April 25, with the final race and the awards ceremony.
 
Eligibility
All maxi yachts (from 18.29 metres) with IRC certificate are eligible for the event. The fleet will be divided into two groups: racers and cruiser-racers, and will sail on different courses in the Gulf of Tigullio: races round the marks for the former and coastal races for the latter.
Regate di Primavera will also host the Mylius Cup, open to boats built by Mylius Shipyard in Podenzano.  


The prizes 
The following trophies will be awarded: Yacht Club Italiano' Trophies for the top three in each group (racers and cruiser racers), IMA Trophies for the two IMA owners best placed in the two classes, YCI Challenge Trophies – won last year by Alessandro Del Bono's Capricorno  - will also be awarded to the top scored boats in each category. Mylius trophy will be awarded to the best placed Mylius yacht.

Splendido Mare – a Belmond Hotel - is Hospitality Partner together with Banca Passadore as Technical Partner. 

O.A. thank also the MUnicipality of Santa Margherita, the Portofino Yacht Marina and "Progetto Santa Margherita". The event is under the patronage of Federazione Italiana Vela and Liguria Region.
 
Specific protocols and all national and local regulations against Covid-19 will be adopted.
