Rolex Giraglia 2023, from June 9 to June 17
Genoa, 10 February 20232023 marks the 70th anniversary of one of the Mediterranean ' most renowned regatta: this year' Rolex Giraglia, organised by Yacht Club Italiano in collaboration with Yacht Club Sanremo and Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, introduces several improvements, both ashore and at sea.
The Notice of Race is published online on the event' website (www.yci.it). Preliminary entry lists are updated daily. A special reduction of 20% on the entry fee will be granted to boats entered by February 28.
The schedule of the event is confirmed as follows:
Friday June 9th, Sanremo: start of the Coastal Race Sanremo to St. Tropez;
Sunday June 11th, St. Tropez: Inshore Racing
Monday June 12th, St. Tropez: Inshore Racing
Tuesday June 13th, St. Tropez: Inshore Racing & Rolex Crew Party
Wednesday June 14th, St. Tropez: Start of the offshore race St. Tropez - Giraglia - Genova
Saturday June 17th, Genova (@ YCI Clubhouse): Awards ceremony
Rolex Giraglia 2023 will consist of windward-leeward courses for maxi yachts, and triangle courses for Groups 1 and 2 entries. The scenic passage between Port-Cros and the Île du Levant has been reinstated for the offshore race. New coefficients will be used for the overall rankings, aimed at encouraging participation in the different legs of the event (the Sanremo/Saint-Tropez race, the inshore racing in Saint-Tropez, and the offshore race Saint-Tropez to Genoa).
A brand new-layout for the Crew Village in Saint-Tropez will be put in place, featuring daily prize-giving ceremonies, music and entertainment.
